Join the "Gay in the Central Valley" Art Project

Our project asks individuals to personally create and submit a provided postcard (or two) with an artistic expression of life as you see it for an LGBT person in the Central Valley.

  • Create original artwork, use photos, images, drawings, collages or computer images.
  • Add your own words to complete the theme, then forward your creation to us.
  • Mail the pre-paid postcards to us or scan your work and email it.

We'll use the submissions to create an art piece for display in the community.

We want the voices of the LGBTQIA community to be heard through personalized, self-expression. Be dramatic, funny, irreverent, political, touching or sarcastic. Personalize it. And keep it anonymous. The goal is not to highlight an individual, but the community.

Postcards chosen for inclusion will be digitally documented and posted online. If successful, we hope to grow the project over the next year.
