Grant information
GCV grants support
- Groups of LGBT community members working together.
- Organizations that demonstrate a clear commitment to LGBT issues and civil rights.
- Scholarships for individuals if the activity furthers the GCV mission.
GCV grants do NOT support
- Organizations that do not have a LGBT focus.
- Organizations whose sole activities are income-generation (fundraising).
- Government entities, political parties or election campaigns.
How to apply
Please submit a letter of intent which contains the following:- Full contact information for the individual or organization.
- Statement of the problem or need that the grant funds will address.
- Plan for actions or activities and cost for these activities.
- Expected outcome of the activities.
Requests for funds will be considered each month and if funds are granted, the check will be issued during the following month. For example if a request is received in the month of April, processed and accepted for funding, the funds will be available no earlier than the month of May. Funding of grants is subject to availability of GCV funds.
If you are provided with a grant you will be asked to submit a one page report and receipts of your expenses. Letters of Intent may be sent to:
