As we watch Red states and Republican legislatures enact voter suppression laws all over the country and white nationalism groups come out of obscurity into the light of day I am worried. I’m worried for our country and I’m worried for democracy. First things first, just to get it out of the way, Matrix Resurrections was a disappointment, 6/10. What makes it more disappointing is the sheer amount of hype towards its release; I mean, what could go wrong? Just like HBO’s blunder with the final episode Game of Thrones, Matrix Resurrections suffered the same fate. Resurrections had a strong start; I was left shocked by how Neo was still alive and somehow reintegrated back in the Matrix. In case you forgot, he was practically lifeless at the end of the 3rd Matrix movie, Revolutions, after having defeated Mr. Smith.
Elevation Mammoth is a gay ski week event. They were canceled in 2020, and while they operated on 2021, it was but a shadow of itself. However, they will be celebrating their 20th anniversary next year in March. It is about 80 miles from Fresno, as it is near the Sierra Nevada Mountain range in Inyo National Forest.
California brought back mask mandates for any indoor service (shopping, events, restaurants, etc.) yesterday on Wednesday. This should come as no surprise, considering that the Omicron variant is the new COVID boss in town. Since the Omicron variant is relatively new, its best that we take it on with everything we’ve got, especially since we don’t much exactly about its virulence or how effective current vaccines are on it. Mask up indoors or in risky environments and vaccinate to reduce the spread!
