Central Valley receives COVID-19 vaccines

Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera has recently received a shipment of 975 COVID-19 vaccine doses. There was still plenty (535) left so the remainder went to the medical staff Madera Community Hospital. Fresno, Tulare, Stanislaus, San Joaquin, and Merced county have also recently received COVID-19 vaccines for medical staff to use. To be specific, the vaccines that are currently being distributed are from Pfizer. Pfizer vaccines are very difficult to transport, as they require super cold storage. As such, they’re only viable for medical workers, alongside the fact that they are vital in our fight against COVID-19. Other vaccines that are much more accessible have yet to be distributed, at least until all essential and vulnerable groups of people can receive the vaccine.
