Great American Cleanup: Beautify Fresno

The Great American Cleanup (Keep America Beautiful) is one of the largest community service events in the nation. The GAC takes place nationwide as part of Earth Day celebrations during the spring. GAC’s effort in Fresno is known as Beautify Fresno. Last year, nearly 1200 volunteers took part in cleanup and beautification projects in every corner of the city. After just 2 hours, volunteers removed more than 10,000 pounds of trash, covered up 4,000 square feet of graffiti, and planted over 150 trees at 12 locations around Fresno. That’s a very powerful statement.

This year, Beautify Fresno is building on that success this year by offering 15 cleanup/beautification events spanning the city, with the goal of engaging over 1500 volunteers to help make Fresno a cleaner, greener, more beautiful place to live! Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 30!
