Ricco Mango Moscato

I normally wouldn’t review wines that aren’t made in California (this one is a product of Italy), but finding it in Fresno sure was a treat for me, particularly because of how special the wine is.

The Ricco Mango Moscato is a perfect balance of sweet, fruity, and tart. It is slightly bubbly, which also adds some extra acidity to tone down the sweetness of the Moscato. At the same time, the distinctive mango flavors is allowed to dominate. As a ripe fruit, it tends to not be too sweet, and has the right amount of tart. The aromas of the wine itself are overwhelmingly fruity as well (typical of a Moscato), especially with the notes of pineapple and mango. While I’m at it, I’ve got to find the name of the mango Moscato I had at a local winery…
