Football is gay, queer, and accepting?

The NFL has released a new “Football is for everyone” video designed to state unequivocal support for the LGBTQ community, stating that football is many things: gay, queer, lesbian, transgender, bisexual, freedom, America, everything…

Obviously, I am over the moon proud of the NFL for running this ad spot on national television. I saw it for the first time during halftime of tonight’s NBA Western Conference Finals game. I have never seen the NFL so bold and courageous and visibly in support of the LGBTQ+ community. This video dropped just two days ago and the hate is already pouring in on their YouTube channel. Hopefully, the NFL won’t get weak in the knees and will stay strong in support of gay pride.
