The D22 Primary Election took April 5, and as of now, almost all of the votes have been counted. In the lead is still the ex-Trump appointee Conway, whose lead had grown even more. In second place is still Hubbard, with a 19.4% of the vote, whose lead shrunk by .3%. Both Conway and Hubbard will face off in the general election on June 7th. Based on the results, I’m a little disappointed and fearful we could wind up with another Trumpite sitting on D22. With both the only two democrats in the primary votes combined, they don’t even exceed the amount of votes Conway got. Still, there are still a few months to go before June 7th (and maybe everyone will actually take the effort to vote in the general).
