Annalisa is the President of the State Center Community College District Board of Trustees, an office she was elected to in 2018. She represents the Tower District, Downtown Fresno, Southeast Fresno, and West of HWY 99. As a Trustee, Annalisa has worked tirelessly to make community college more affordable, expand critical professional workforce programs to give our residents the skills they need to get good-paying jobs, and has ensured fiscally-responsible oversight so that our tax dollars are being responsibly spent.
Annalisa and her colleagues approved the funds to construct a new $80 million community college campus in West Fresno and a new First Responders Campus in Southeast Fresno, thereby expanding access to higher education to underserved parts of Fresno.
Annalisa has also thrown her hat into the ring for a seat on the Fresno City Council in 2022. She has a pretty impressive resume of accomplishments and community activism. She is also openly gay. If you would like to learn more about her, or her campaign, just click on the link below:
