Fresno Reel Pride

As we speed through June and keep one eye on our rising COVID-19 numbers in Fresno County and the Central Valley we are starting to think to about September. Locally, one of the premier LGBTQ+ events of the year happens every September: Fresno Reel Pride Film Festival. If you’ve never heard of it or have never been you should put it on your calendar. Here is some copy from their website…

Every year, it is our goal to bring a wide array of LGBTQ cinema and entertainment home to the Central Valley. With new direction, bold new ideas, and a fresh outlook, we’re proud to bring this annual film festival to the community – and we can’t wait to see you in September!

Reel Pride is centered in the heart of the Tower District and runs 4 or 5 days each and every year. There are some smaller venues in the vicinity where satellite films and events take place. Last year, the Director’s Club welcome reception was held at the Fresno Arts Museum. I sent off an email today inquiring as to what their plans are this year. I’ll report back as soon as I hear!

  1. I transferred here 2 years ago and never knew we had a lgbtq+ film festival. Thanks!

  2. I look forward to September every year. Any word on what they’re doing this year in light of the cornoavirus?

    1. Hey Raymond. Good question. I reached out to them last week asking the same thing…but I got no reply. I’ll pass along any info I get…
